Twenty top Korean golfers, including Kim Hong-taek and Ji Han-sol, have qualified for the final round of the 2026 Golfzon China Open.
Golfzon announced Wednesday that it had finalized the list of finalists for the December championship after completing the Korean main round of the 2026 Golfzon China Open at Golfzon City Golf China No. 2 in Yanji, China.
The Golfzon China Open is a global tournament open to professional and amateur golfers from five regions: South Korea, China, the rest of Asia, the Americas and Europe. The total purse is approximately 4.25 billion won ($3.14 million), with the winner's share set at around 1.05 billion won.
Domestic qualifying rounds held from March through May drew about 20,000 participants, including 4,461 professionals and 15,523 amateurs. Roughly 200 qualifiers — both professionals and amateurs — then competed in the Korean main round in Yanji, China, from July through August.
South Korea was allocated 20 final berths in total — 15 for professionals and five for amateurs. In Pro Division A, which featured players with KPGA and KLPGA titles, Kim Hong-taek took first place, with Lee Tae-hee, Ji Han-sol, Kim Han-byeol and Jeon Jae-han rounding out the top five to claim their spots in the final.
International contenders are also securing their places. From China, last year's champion Zhao Zixu and KLPGA-active Wang Zixuan are set to compete. Japan will be represented by Yokomine Sakura, a 23-time JLPGA tour winner.
The final will be held over four days, from Dec. 17 to Dec. 20, at Golfzon City Golf China No. 3 in Chengdu. A total of 170 golfers who advanced from their respective regions will compete for the top prize.
