Hyeonsuk and Yeongshik, who met on the divorcee special of the reality dating show "Naneun Solo" (I Am Solo) Season 28, have ended their relationship after more than a year of dating.

Speculation about a breakup began circulating recently after the two unfollowed each other on social media and deleted photos and videos they had shared together.

On Tuesday, a user asked on Hyeonsuk's social media account, "Hyeonsuk, did you and Yeongshik break up?" Hyeonsuk confirmed the split, writing, "Yes. He was a good person and I was happy."

"We decided to return to our own lives before it got any later — before the children grew even more attached," she said, adding, "We sincerely wish each other well going forward."

Hyeonsuk and Yeongshik appeared on the divorcee special of "Naneun Solo" Season 28, which aired on ENA and SBS Plus from September to November last year. Hyeonsuk was a florist and single mother raising three children on her own, while Yeongshik was an urban planning engineer who had been raising his high school-age daughter alone for more than a decade. Although they were not paired as a couple during the show, Hyeonsuk initiated a serious relationship after filming ended. They officially announced they were dating through YouTube in March, at which point they said they had been together for about seven months.

Despite living far apart — Hyeonsuk in Incheon and Yeongshik in Gwangju, South Jeolla Province — the two frequently spent time together and drew attention when they were seen sitting around a table with all four of their children. Ultimately, however, they have gone their separate ways.

Among other Season 28 couples, Yeongja and Yeongcheol announced last month that they had divorced. The two had married in January but split after barely six months together, shocking viewers.

In contrast, Oksun and Yeongho married after the show and recently announced that Oksun is pregnant with their second child.
