Personnel officers from 33 firms join corporate recruitment booths
Alumni working at LG Electronics and others offer job mentoring
Korea University of Technology and Education announced it will hold its "2026 Job Fair" on Wednesday at Damheon Silhak Hall on its campus in Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province.
More than 40 companies are taking part, spanning the semiconductor, electronics, automotive, machinery and energy sectors, including large conglomerates, public institutions, foreign-invested firms, and small and medium-sized enterprises. The event aims to provide current students and graduates with hiring information and the competencies required for specific roles, while giving participating companies a chance to meet top talent.
The corporate recruitment zone will feature personnel officers from 33 companies, including JB Corporation, KB Autosys, SFA Semicon, Globaltech, Youngrim Industrial, Army Headquarters, Cheonan Urban Corporation, Kctech and Korea Midland Power. Representatives will offer one-on-one consultations covering company and job introductions, hiring plans, ideal candidate profiles and role-specific requirements. Some companies will also conduct on-site consultations linked directly to recruitment.
At the alumni mentoring pavilion, graduates currently employed at LG Electronics, Korea National Railway, Steco, Booyoung and other organizations will share their experiences preparing for employment, going through the hiring process, handling actual job duties and navigating workplace life with current students.
Additional programs include an AI photo booth, a career tarot reading, a personal color analysis session and professional headshot photography for resumes.
Seo Hui-seok, director of career development and IPP at the university, said the hiring market is shifting rapidly toward job-specific and practical competencies. "We hope this fair gives students a concrete direction for their job search and helps companies discover outstanding talent," he said.
Meanwhile, the university recorded an employment rate of 82.8 percent in university information disclosures released last December, ranking first among all four-year universities nationwide. It was the only university in the country to surpass the 80 percent mark.
