Mountia announced Tuesday that it served as an official sponsor of the 3rd Daegu Metropolitan City National Sports Climbing Competition for Athletes with Developmental Disabilities, providing apparel for the event.

Organized by the Daegu Metropolitan City Association of Sports for the Disabled and co-hosted by the Daegu Metropolitan City Disabled Sports Climbing Association and People Love Social Cooperative, the competition was held Sunday. Mountia distributed functional apparel to athletes and staff.

The sponsorship is part of an ongoing disability support project run by the Black Yak Kang Tae-sun Sharing Foundation. Since launching its sports climbing team in 2016, Mountia has sponsored multiple competitions — including ice climbing championships — as part of its efforts to broaden the sport's reach.

"We plan to continue exploring ways to expand support for diverse sporting activities and realize our value of 'walking every path in the world,'" a Mountia official said.
