President Hong Eui-rak pledges multifaceted support for small and medium-sized enterprises seeking overseas expansion
Korea Gas Corporation announced Tuesday that it is participating in Gastech 2026, the world's largest gas industry exhibition, running through Thursday in Bangkok, Thailand.
Gastech is a major international event covering the broader future energy industry, with natural gas at its core alongside hydrogen and low-carbon energy. This year's edition is expected to draw more than 1,000 companies from 150 countries and some 50,000 visitors.
The state-run gas utility has set up a "co-growth pavilion for the natural gas industry" at this year's exhibition, providing intensive support to help 18 domestic small and medium-sized enterprises — selected through an open application process — break into overseas markets.
Companies in the pavilion produce key natural gas equipment and components, including ball valves, pressure-regulating systems, and gas and flame detectors, and will showcase their innovative technologies and products at the event.
"We will leverage our brand power and global network to support our partner small and medium-sized enterprises in entering overseas markets from multiple angles," Korea Gas Corporation President Hong Eui-rak said. "We will continue to do our utmost to ensure that the outstanding technological capabilities of domestic small and medium-sized enterprises gain recognition in the global energy market."
