"To celebrate the launch of the Jeonnam-Gwangju Special Metropolitan City, Cheongja Dabang is treating customers to a refreshing americano," the company said.

Cheongja Dabang, a Gwangju-based food and beverage company, announced Tuesday it will hold a free americano giveaway to mark the inauguration of the Jeonnam-Gwangju Special Metropolitan City.

The offer is available on a first-come, first-served basis to the first 10,000 customers who download the Cheongja Dabang app, which officially launched Tuesday.

The company said it has significantly expanded customer-focused membership benefits and convenience features through the new app. The app supports membership point accumulation and introduces a customer participation-based points system.

Cheongja Dabang also plans to ramp up online and offline marketing to respond to shifting consumer patterns amid a slowdown in local commercial districts.

Founded with its first store at Chosun University in 2015, Cheongja Dabang now operates 200 locations nationwide, including in Seoul, Gwangju, Busan and Jeju.

The chain also champions local agriculture, sourcing 500 tons of Haenam sweet potatoes and potatoes annually, along with Cheongdo persimmons, Mungyeong omija berries and Bongdong ginger.

"As delivery platform fees and advertising costs rise, franchise owners are facing growing difficulties, so we are focusing our efforts on strengthening brand competitiveness," said Kang Seong-cheol, a manager at Cheongja Dabang. "We plan to boost promotions through YouTube and other social media alongside various events featuring coupons, membership perks and merchandise. We expect this approach to drive repeat visits more effectively than simple discounts."
