Average competition ratio of 5.85 to 1 recorded within enrollment quota

Booyoung Group announced Tuesday that Changshin University recorded the highest admissions competition ratio among private universities in South Gyeongsang Province in the early admissions round for the 2027 academic year.

Changshin University received 3,885 applications for 669 spots in the 2027 early admissions round, yielding an average competition ratio of 5.85 to 1 within the enrollment quota.

"Despite challenging admissions conditions — including an increase in enrollment capacity and a declining school-age population — many applicants chose Changshin University," a university official said. "We recorded the highest competition ratio among private universities in South Gyeongsang Province."

The university will reorganize into five colleges starting in 2027 and has added AI-focused departments, including the AI Convergence Management Department, the AI Robot Industry Department and the Defense AI Convergence Department. The university plans to strengthen the practical dimension of major-specific education and expand curricula linked to future industries such as AI, digital healthcare, AI management, AI robotics and defense.

Changshin University will conduct interviews and practical examinations for early admissions applicants and plans to announce final results according to its official admissions schedule.

Booyoung Group has provided extensive support to Changshin University since joining as a financial contributor in 2019, guided by Chairman Lee Joong-keun's philosophy that "education is a century-long foundation for designing the nation's future." All incoming students receive full scholarships for their first year, with the exception of nursing majors, who receive 50 percent. The group also operates the "Booyoung Track," a field training program linked to its business sites.

Booyoung Group has donated a cumulative total of more than 1.22 trillion won ($907 million) through various social contribution activities, including history preservation, veterans' affairs and scholarship programs. The group received the top residential welfare service award at the "Home I Want to Live In 2026" event held this month.
