Golf apparel brand Amazingcre has signed on as title sponsor of the KPGA Tour.
The company announced Tuesday that it will host the Amazingcre Open, a KPGA Tour event, at Flamingo Country Club in Dangjin, South Chungcheong Province, from Oct. 8 to 11.
As the tournament falls near the end of the season, it is expected to give competing players an opportunity to secure additional prize money and ranking points ahead of next year's card competition.
"As a brand that has grown on the back of golf, we made this decision to preserve the base of men's golf in Korea at a time when playing opportunities are shrinking," an Amazingcre official said. "We hope the Amazingcre Open gives players a chance to prepare for next year and serves as a turning point for men's golf in Korea to regain its strength."
The brand said its philosophy of "overwhelming performance" and "engineered design" aligns with the dynamic play that KPGA Tour players bring to the course.
Amazingcre has built its standing as a golf apparel brand by serving as an official apparel partner for players on the LPGA, KLPGA and KPGA tours, as well as for Korean Golf Club (KGC) on the LIV Golf circuit. Team Amazingcre's Jeong Han-mil claimed his first career victory this year at the KPGA Tour Gunsan CC Open, in his 164th career start.
