Sangju City in North Gyeongsang Province held a campaign pledge progress report for the ninth elected-term mayor on Friday at the city hall's main conference room.

Chaired by Sangju Mayor An Jae-min, the session brought together the deputy mayor, department and office heads, and directors of units overseeing the pledges. Participants shared detailed action plans for 44 campaign pledges and discussed the direction for their implementation.

Heads of 20 responsible departments presented project details for each pledge, along with annual implementation schedules and funding plans. The session also featured in-depth discussions on the feasibility of each pledge and potential challenges expected during the process.

Based on the action plans drawn up at the session, Sangju City said it will systematically track progress on each pledge. For projects requiring inter-departmental cooperation or long-term funding, the city plans to strengthen execution through ongoing review and adjustment.

"Campaign pledges are promises made to citizens, so it is above all important that they translate into tangible results rather than remaining plans," Mayor An said. "Each department should clearly define the goals and direction for every single pledge and carry them out with a sense of responsibility so that citizens can feel the change."
