Singer and broadcaster Lee Ji-hye, a former member of the mixed-gender group Shop, shared a story about her eldest daughter's attempt to make up for her younger sister's mishap.

Lee posted on her Instagram account Sunday that her younger daughter had broken a gift she had recently received. "It was a cherished gift — I had told her not to touch it," she wrote.

The photo she shared, however, was not of the broken gift but of a carefully written letter and a 1,000-won bill.

The letter, written by her eldest daughter, read: "Mom, please don't be too upset. You must be so sad that your gift is broken. Instead, I'll be your gift."

Lee said the letter and the "gift" had been left on her dressing table by her eldest daughter. "She gave money as a gift — 1,000 won. So cute," she added.

The post drew comments including "This is worth 10 million won" and "What a thoughtful heart."

Lee debuted with the mixed-gender group Shop and has since appeared on numerous broadcast programs, winning fans over with her vocal talent and wit.
