Road shows in Ho Chi Minh City, Jakarta, Qingdao and Wuhan from Monday

Korean smart farm companies to hold one-on-one export consultations with local buyers

South Korean smart farm companies are heading to Vietnam, Indonesia and China to meet local buyers and expand their export markets.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and KOTRA will hold the "2026 K-Smart Farm Road Show" in Ho Chi Minh City, Jakarta, Qingdao and Wuhan from Monday through Sept. 22.

The road show opens in Ho Chi Minh City on Monday and Tuesday, moves to Jakarta on Thursday, then continues in Qingdao and Wuhan from Sept. 20 through Sept. 22. Korean companies dealing in smart farm equipment, environmental control systems and crop management solutions will present their products and hold one-on-one export consultations with local buyers.

Twelve Korean companies will take part in the Ho Chi Minh City event — nine in person and three online. In Jakarta, 10 companies will participate, with seven attending in person and three online. The Qingdao and Wuhan events will draw 10 companies, six in person and four online.

In China, participants will visit smart agriculture facilities to assess local farming conditions and market demand. A roundtable between participating companies and KOTRA trade center staff will also be held to discuss ways to deepen cooperation with local firms.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and KOTRA pre-matched local buyers with Korean participants ahead of the events. The two organizations plan to provide follow-up support to help convert export consultations into actual contracts.

"As global interest in smart agriculture grows in response to climate change and food security concerns, the potential for K-smart farm companies to expand overseas is also increasing," said Lee Si-hye, director general for agro-industry innovation policy at the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. "We will actively support our smart farm companies in broadening their access to local markets and generating tangible export results."
