Ansan Mayor Lee Min-geun posted about a "field visit with Bono 3-dong residents" on his social media Wednesday, saying he found solutions by visiting the sites in person.

"I went with residents of Bono 3-dong to directly inspect the area under the Sangnoksu Station bridge and the chronically flood-prone area near Bono Park," Lee said. "At Sangnoksu Station, we went through the inconveniences residents have been experiencing one by one, including the homelessness issue, shipping containers and rainwater flowing into the gateball court."

He added, "We will continue field monitoring, patrols and welfare service connections, and carefully review ways to improve the facilities there. We also examined the area near Bono Park, which floods repeatedly whenever there are heavy rains. We will steadily carry out necessary measures, such as installing additional storm drains and improving drainage facilities, so that the same problems do not recur."

Lee said, "I will follow through until the voices residents shared with us lead to real change."
