LG Group will host a large-scale AI festival alongside global tech giants Nvidia, Google, Amazon and Microsoft to share advances in AI technology and business innovation.

Centered on its in-house AI model EXAONE, the event will bring together not only research and development achievements but also real-world applications of AI across marketing, production and quality control — part of a broader push to accelerate AI transformation across the group.

LG Group announced Friday that LG SPARK 2026, an AI innovation, technology and culture festival, will run from Monday through Sept. 17 at LG Science Park in Magok, Seoul. This year's event puts a spotlight on the intersection of AI technology and the businesses LG is cultivating as next-generation growth engines — physical AI, AI data centers and automotive electronics.

LG SPARK, previously held separately by each affiliate, has been consolidated into a single group-wide event since 2023. Last year's edition drew about 60,000 participants. Starting this year, the program has been significantly revamped to focus on spreading AI innovation cases across the entire group.

The festival kicks off Monday and Tuesday with "LG Tech Fair," where affiliates share new R&D technologies, followed by "LG AX Fair" (Wednesday–Thursday), where affiliates present their AI transformation achievements; "LG AI Talk Concert" (Sept. 14–15), where LG AI Research shares its AI vision and industry pilot cases; "LG AI DevCon" (Sept. 15–16), a gathering for LG developers to exchange ideas; and "Culture Week" (Sept. 15–17), an open event bringing together LG employees and their families, university talent, and residents and small-business owners from the Magok area.

LG AI DevCon will feature participation from Nvidia, Google, Amazon and Microsoft, with their developers joining LG's to share the latest AI technology trends and use cases. The event is an expanded version of the former "LG SDC," which was centered on software developers, now broadened to include AI developers as well.

Technologies in physical AI, AI data centers and mobility — all areas LG is nurturing as future growth pillars — will also be unveiled in force. LG Tech Fair will showcase 41 new R&D technologies from affiliates, 13 of which fall under the three core "One LG" focus areas that pool capabilities across the group.

In physical AI, LG Electronics will demonstrate technology that links its home robot CLOiD with AI home appliances to autonomously handle tasks such as cleaning, air quality management and item delivery.

In AI data centers, LG will unveil technologies supporting AI semiconductor performance, including hybrid bonding equipment for semiconductors and high-thermal-dissipation adhesive film.

In mobility, next-generation automotive components on display will include smart glass film for vehicles and hairpin motors.

Twenty-eight technologies related to AI, biotech and clean tech — the "ABC" areas that LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo has identified as future growth drivers — will also be presented. These include ad-targeting technology based on a behavioral foundation model that predicts in-home activity, hair-loss care materials, and next-generation technologies to improve battery performance and safety.

LG AX Fair will feature 68 cases of AI transformation applied to actual operations across affiliates. LG Electronics will present an AI system that checks marketing content for compliance issues, while LG Innotek will showcase a vision AI that detects safety and environmental hazards. LG Chem will introduce an AI agent that supports R&D project planning through validation, and LG Uplus will unveil technology that optimizes token costs for AI models.
