Field leaders urged to lead by example on ethics
Pledge covers ban on undue influence, user protection
Dunamu, the operator of digital asset exchange Upbit, has launched a push to embed fair-trade voluntary compliance more firmly into its day-to-day operations.
The company held a "Fair-Trade Voluntary Compliance Program Strengthening Ceremony" at Nest Hotel in Incheon on Thursday, it announced Friday. Chief Executive Oh Kyung-seok and other senior executives attended the event.
The ceremony was organized as a follow-up to a compliance management pledge held in June, with the aim of setting concrete behavioral standards for field leaders and reaffirming their commitment to fair-trade compliance. Rather than stopping at a declaration of principles, Dunamu focused on presenting specific, actionable guidelines that leaders can apply in their day-to-day work.
Attendees pledged to uphold four core guidelines: establishing fair trade by prohibiting undue demands and the exercise of improper influence; complying with fair-trade law when engaging with trade associations and competitors; prioritizing user protection through the provision of objective and accurate information; and blocking at the source any instruction or facilitation of fair-trade law violations within the company.
"Establishing a transparent trading order and fostering a sound digital asset market starts with leaders setting an example," Oh said. "Let us build a Dunamu that earns the firm trust of the market, grounded in unwavering principles."
Meanwhile, Dunamu has been continuously refining its compliance policies and systems since introducing its voluntary compliance program in 2025. The company plans to sustain a range of activities — including regular training sessions and in-house newsletters — to raise compliance awareness among all employees and build a transparent corporate culture.
