Lotte Department Store's Daegu and Sangin branches have launched their 2026 Chuseok gift set sales, running through Sept. 23.
The retailer said it has been setting new sales records each holiday season by developing differentiated lineups based on the latest customer purchase data, helping it lead gift-giving trends in the industry.
Sales of Lunar New Year gift sets earlier this year — which set an all-time record — saw new-customer revenue surge more than 50 percent. Advance reservations for this Chuseok season, which began Aug. 14, also rose about 40 percent compared with the same period last year.
With the holiday approaching, both branches are now moving into full sales mode, each leading with store-specific specialty gift sets.
The Daegu branch is centering its lineup on Korean beef and wine. Offerings include "Anseongmatchum Hanwoo Amso No. 9 Myeongpum," featuring premium cuts from 1++ (grade 9) cows, and "Uiseong Garlic Hanwoo Prestige," alongside wine from singer Lee Seung-cheol's winery — Clos des Garants Juliénas — as well as olive oil and balsamic vinegar sets.
The Sangin branch has placed greater emphasis on fruit and health food products. Its selection includes fruit sets from Naedang Agricultural Products, olive oil and balsamic vinegar, and Jirisan pork belly and shoulder sets, with raw perilla oil and organic products also on offer.
The branch is also selling rare items such as Ulleungdo Chikso beef and Eunpung dried persimmons, along with dried yellow croaker and pork sets designed to minimize preparation time.
On the service side, Lotte Department Store is introducing what it calls an industry-first "jamón carving and full catering service," in which a professional carver visits the customer's location to prepare jamón and provide full catering.
The Lotte Department Store app will also offer an AI-powered greeting card service that suggests personalized holiday messages.
"We hope customers use the exclusive gift sets from the Daegu and Sangin branches to express their gratitude to the people who matter most and enjoy a bountiful holiday," said Yoo Hyeon-gwon, store manager of Lotte Department Store Daegu.
