Actor Kwak Si-yang, 39, and Yoo Ji-ae, 33 — a member of girl group Lovelyz and an actor — will marry in November.
Kwak's agency, 9ato Entertainment, announced Thursday that the couple will wed Nov. 28. The ceremony is expected to be held at a hotel in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, with family and close friends in attendance.
The two, who are six years apart in age, have been dating for about a year. Their relationship had not been publicly known, and the announcement has drawn congratulations alongside expressions of surprise.
Yoo made her debut in 2014 as a member of the eight-piece girl group Lovelyz, earning a following through hit songs including "Ah-Choo" and "Jigeum, Uri (Now, Us)." She has since expanded her career into acting, appearing in a number of productions.
Kwak began his career as a model before making his acting debut in the 2014 film "Night Flight." He gained wider recognition through the tvN drama "Oh My Ghost" and the KBS2 series "Everything Will Be Fine," and is set to appear in the KBS2 drama "Neo Malgo Dareun Yeonae," which premieres Friday.
