North Gyeongsang Technopark held an energy conservation committee meeting Tuesday to discuss ways to reduce energy use and improve energy management in response to rapidly shifting domestic and international energy conditions, including the war in the Middle East and rising oil prices.

The committee discussed energy-saving measures, efficient energy management, ways to improve facility operations by making use of idle spaces, and strategies to cut general operating costs, sharing practical steps toward the organization's sustainable operation.

Participants agreed that achieving meaningful energy savings requires the involvement of all staff — not just select departments — and decided to designate energy monitors in each department to drive day-to-day conservation efforts.

"In an environment of growing uncertainty in international affairs and energy markets, energy conservation and efficient energy management are critical tasks for the sustainable operation of our organization," said Ha In-seong, president of North Gyeongsang Technopark. "We will continue to expand energy-saving activities involving all members of our organization in order to practice carbon neutrality and ESG management."
