Tiffany, a member of the K-pop group Girls' Generation, has opened up about why she and actor Byun Yo-han wasted no time registering their marriage.
A video titled "Girls' Generation's Tiffany Says She'll Adopt Genius Dog Tori" was posted Thursday on the YouTube channel Wonshothanseol.
The clip features visually impaired YouTuber Kim Han-sol sitting down with Tiffany for a wide-ranging conversation.
During the exchange, Kim mentioned that he had recently gone public with a relationship and said he felt he was approaching the age for marriage, asking Tiffany what made her decide to take the plunge.
"You might already have the answer inside yourself and just be looking for someone else's advice to confirm it," Tiffany said. "It's about saying, 'We're doing this,' and going for it."
She added that the process itself was simpler than people might expect. "I went to the Gangnam District Office — you can do it quickly. All you need is a pen and two witnesses to sign," she said. "He led the way. Whenever I started to hesitate, he'd say, 'We're just going for it.' I loved that leadership."
When Kim said he worried about the prospect of arguments, Tiffany was reassuring. "Of course couples fight — that's just life. You shouldn't be afraid of it. You have to fight well. Clear communication is what matters," she said.
Meanwhile, Tiffany made headlines in December last year when she revealed she was in a relationship with Byun with marriage in mind. The two officially became a married couple after registering their union in February.
