Renault Korea announced Wednesday that its 2026 wage and collective bargaining agreement has been ratified, with 50.1 percent of workers voting in favor.

Labor and management at Renault Korea had been working toward a settlement since their first formal meeting on April 27, holding 15 rounds of main negotiations over roughly four months.

The tentative agreement was reached at the final bargaining session on Thursday after 16 hours of overnight talks. It includes a base pay increase of 51,000 won ($37), a one-time lump-sum payment of 2.5 million won covering a peaceful wage-settlement bonus and other allowances, a variable productivity incentive of up to 100 percent worth up to 2 million won, a raise in job-grade allowances, and the provision of labor-management harmony reward points and settlement leave.

The tentative agreement was put to a vote at a general employee assembly that day, with 1,787 of 1,858 eligible voters participating, and passed with a majority.

With the 2026 agreement now in place, labor and management said they plan to redouble their efforts to overcome the company's recent difficult business conditions and ensure the success of new projects.

Meanwhile, Renault Korea sold a total of 3,030 vehicles in July — 1,704 in the domestic market and 1,326 through exports.
