Gyeongil University's Advanced Industry Boot Camp project team and its early-employment contract department signed an MOU with the Daegu-North Gyeongsang chapter of the Korea Women Venture Association on Wednesday to promote industry-academia cooperation and develop practice-oriented talent.

The agreement aims to build a cooperative framework between local businesses and the university and to cultivate graduates with the practical skills industry demands.

The two parties agreed to cooperate on running education and talent development programs in advanced industries, expanding corporate participation in education, facilitating field training and internships, and strengthening employment and recruitment linkages.

About 30 people attended the signing ceremony, including university and association officials and member companies of the Daegu-North Gyeongsang chapter.

Both sides said they would strengthen their industry-academia cooperation framework to better reflect real-world corporate needs in university curricula and to produce graduates equipped with the practical competencies businesses require.

Park Young-hee, chair of the Daegu-North Gyeongsang chapter of the Korea Women Venture Association, said the agreement would serve as an opportunity to expand exchanges between member companies and the university and to work together to develop the talent businesses need.

Kim Hae-su, head of the Advanced Industry Boot Camp project team, said the MOU had laid the groundwork for actively incorporating corporate field demands into the curriculum and nurturing practice-ready graduates.

Park Kwang-seo, head of the early-employment contract department project team, said he would work to further expand cooperation with local companies and to promote talent development and employment linkages aligned with corporate needs.
