CJ CheilJedang said Wednesday it will donate relief supplies to residents in Geoje and Tongyeong, South Gyeongsang Province, who have been affected by recent heavy rainfall and flooding.
The relief package consists of more than 3,000 ready-to-eat meals and snacks, including Hetbahn cooked rice, Hetbahn Sotbahn, Bibigo soup dishes, Spam and roasted chestnuts. The items will be delivered swiftly to the affected local governments in coordination with the Korea Disaster Relief Association.
CJ CheilJedang has been providing disaster relief supplies since May 2019, when it formed an emergency disaster relief consortium with the Ministry of Interior and Safety and the Korea Disaster Relief Association.
"We hope this contribution, however small, will help the affected areas recover quickly and return to everyday life," a company official said.
