HanmiGlobal ranked sixth in the world in the global construction management and project management category of the 2026 ENR Top International Survey, published by the US construction trade journal Engineering News-Record. The company said Wednesday it is the highest ranking ever achieved by a Korean firm across ENR's major construction industry categories, which cover construction, design, CM and PM.

HanmiGlobal's combined domestic and overseas CM/PM sales last year totaled $255.8 million, placing it sixth in the global CM/PM revenue ranking. In a separate ranking based solely on overseas sales, the company came in ninth with $139.4 million.

ENR publishes annual rankings of construction companies, design firms and CM/PM enterprises worldwide based on the previous year's revenue.

HanmiGlobal introduced project management to South Korea for the first time in 1996 and broke into the global top 10 in the CM/PM category for the first time in 2019. It reached eighth place in 2022 and has remained in the global top 10 since. PM involves integrated management of the entire construction process, from planning and design through procurement, construction and maintenance.

Last year, HanmiGlobal secured contracts for an 87-story supertall residential tower in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, an urban regeneration project in Riyadh, and a public housing and infrastructure construction project for Kuwait's Public Authority for Housing Welfare. The company also won a PM contract for infrastructure improvement work at Romania's Cernavoda Nuclear Power Plant Unit 1, marking its entry into the overseas nuclear power plant market.

In April, HanmiGlobal's US subsidiary Otac signed a $400 million procurement contract with the National Park Service under the US Department of the Interior for engineering services covering infrastructure improvement and maintenance at national parks across the United States.

HanmiGlobal recently held a small modular reactor seminar in Washington, D.C., targeting prospective local customers, and announced plans to establish a new SMR project development company in the United States.

"It is a deeply meaningful achievement that HanmiGlobal, which introduced PM to Korea for the first time, has recorded its highest-ever ranking in a globally recognized construction industry survey as we mark our 30th anniversary," a company official said. "We will further accelerate our push into global markets and work toward breaking into the top five worldwide."
