New air routes connecting South Korea with major Vietnamese cities are set to open.

Sun PhuQuoc Airlines (SPA), a carrier under Vietnam's Sun Group, launched new Incheon–Hanoi and Incheon–Ho Chi Minh City services Wednesday, expanding air links between the two countries.

To mark the launch, the airline is running a promotional fare campaign, offering one-way tickets on both routes from 80,000 won ($58) through Oct. 31.

Hanoi, one of the two new destinations, is a city of culture and history, home to Ha Long Bay — a UNESCO World Heritage Site — as well as its historic Old Quarter and traditional dishes such as pho and bun cha. Ho Chi Minh City is regarded as Vietnam's economic hub, known for its bustling commercial districts along the Saigon River, rooftop bars and a thriving cafe scene.

The airline is also working to expand its network within South Korea, with plans to launch a Busan route by year's end to improve access to Vietnam for travelers in the Yeongnam region.

"We are delighted to offer Korean travelers a wider range of options for visiting Vietnam through these new Incheon–Hanoi and Incheon–Ho Chi Minh City routes," said Im Chang-hyeon, director of Sun PhuQuoc Airlines' Korea office. "We plan to successfully establish the Busan route by year's end and continue expanding our footprint in South Korea."
