Singer Lin has opened up about life after her divorce, saying she has been living in a state that is "neither sad nor happy — just a little numb."
Lin shared a lengthy post on her Instagram on Tuesday.
"I've come to realize that at some point I started living without feeling particularly sad or happy, without expecting or being disappointed by anyone or anything — just a little numb," she wrote.
"I'm still in a fragile state, mentally and physically, but what I'm grateful for is that I'm standing on a path moving forward, not backward," she added. "Even if no one else acknowledges it, if I say that's where I am, then that's where I am."
Lin also expressed gratitude to those around her. "Even on days like these, there are people who make sure I eat well and lift my spirits — and that brings me back to myself," she wrote.
Lin and fellow singer Lee Soo divorced by mutual agreement last August after 11 years of marriage.
Lin later spoke about the split on SBS's My Little Old Boy, saying she felt as though she had "lost a truly close friend." "It's a shame and it makes me sad, but I always cheer him on," she said.
Lin's mother, who appeared on My Little Old Boy alongside her daughter, also shared her feelings at the time. When her mother struggled to finish the sentence, "I can only imagine how hard it must have been for her to go through that," Lin replied, "I'll live even better."
