G-Dragon of K-pop group Big Bang has paid out of his own pocket to invite descendants of national merit holders to the group's anniversary concert.

According to the Justpis Foundation on Tuesday, the organization invited descendants of independence movement patriots, descendants of Korean War veterans, and correctional civil servants to Big Bang's 20th anniversary world tour concert held last weekend.

The invitations were made possible by concert tickets that G-Dragon, the foundation's honorary chairman, personally purchased and donated.

The gesture is part of the foundation's "Hero Recovery" project, which supports cultural and arts activities. It expands on a similar initiative during G-Dragon's solo world tour, when the foundation invited uniformed civil servants — including firefighters and police officers — and broadens the scope of those invited.

Big Bang kicked off its world tour, titled "XX : COSMOS IN GOYANG," with a three-day run at Goyang Stadium that began Friday. The group will perform 33 shows across 19 cities worldwide, including Oakland, Paris, London and Sydney, Australia.
