The Kkomjirak Power Station, operated by the Daegu Happiness Foundation, will hold a maker culture festival called "FUNFUN Maker Festa" at Kkomjirak Park in Jungni-dong, Seo-gu, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 5.

The festival aims to give young people and local residents hands-on experience with a range of maker activities, fostering creative and interdisciplinary skills while spreading maker culture in everyday life and strengthening community ties.

The event will draw added participation from youth self-governing bodies affiliated with the Kkomjirak Power Station, as well as community clubs and related organizations.

Attendees can look forward to a wide array of activities — 14 experience booths covering maker activities and more, youth club performances featuring dance, singing and a band, a bubble magic show for the whole family, a stamp tour and on-site events.

No advance registration is required; anyone can attend free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 2 p.m. To ensure a comfortable experience, each booth will accommodate around 100 participants.

Son Byeong-geun, director of the Kkomjirak Power Station, said he hoped the festival would serve as "a lively space for communication where local residents and young people can get up close with creative maker culture and enjoy it together."
