LF Mall announced Tuesday that it has upgraded the voice and image features of its AI shopping agent service "LF Style Talk."

LF Mall launched LF Style Talk in July, offering a conversational shopping experience in which customers describe a product or style they want and the AI interprets their intent to make recommendations. In the month since its debut, the service generated about 10,000 conversations. Users in their 40s and 50s accounted for roughly 75 percent of the total, and about 70 percent of all searches included a brand name in the query.

On Aug. 6, the platform introduced automatic voice-to-text and text-to-voice conversion, allowing customers to ask questions by speaking and hear the AI's responses. Then on Thursday, LF Mall rolled out an image-based similar-product search feature. When a customer uploads a photo to the chat window, the AI analyzes the item's color, pattern, material and fit to recommend similar products. Users can narrow the results further by adding conditions such as "slimmer fit" or "in black."

LF Mall plans to add a feature in the second half of this year that will suggest follow-up questions in button form alongside the AI's responses, anticipating what customers may want to ask next. "We will continue to quickly reflect customer feedback and deliver a more natural, personalized shopping experience that spans text, voice and image," a company official said.

Meanwhile, LF Mall became the first fashion-focused shopping platform to launch an LF Mall plugin within ChatGPT. The company is expanding its AI-based services, including automated AI-assisted review drafting, product description generation and outfit recommendation.
