SK Telecom on Tuesday launched the Galaxy Quantum 7, the thinnest and lightest handset in the Quantum series, priced in the low 700,000 won ($506) range as an SK Telecom exclusive.

The device is available through SK Telecom's official online store T Direct Shop and T World retail locations nationwide. It comes in three colors — Awesome Gray, Awesome Ice Blue and Awesome Lilac — with a retail price of 717,200 won.

At 6.9 millimeters thick and 179 grams, the Galaxy Quantum 7 is the slimmest and lightest model in the Quantum lineup and ranks among the thinnest in the entire Galaxy A series.

The phone also packs practical features including AI functions and 45W fast charging. A standout addition is Voice Transcript Assist, which converts audio files to text and supports translation.

Other AI tools include Google's Circle to Search for quick information lookups, Best Face for selecting the most flattering expression from motion photos, and AI Eraser for removing and filling in elements of an image.

Camera performance has also been upgraded. The Galaxy Quantum 7 is the first Galaxy A series device to feature low-light noise reduction, improving sharpness in photos and videos shot in dark conditions. Its dust and water resistance rating has been raised to IP68, matching the latest flagship models.

To mark the launch, SK Telecom is running a series of promotions. All customers who purchase the Galaxy Quantum 7 from Tuesday through Sept. 7 will receive a two-month YouTube Premium subscription and two free beverage coupons for Mega MGC Coffee.

Through T Direct Shop, the first 1,500 customers to purchase between Aug. 25 and Sept. 23 will receive 30,000 won in Naver Pay points. All buyers will also receive a T Gift package containing coupons worth 30,000 won redeemable at CJ Olive Young, Musinsa and other retailers.

During a T Direct Shop live broadcast scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, the first 500 viewers who purchase the device will receive a T Direct Shop voucher worth 187,000 won.

"The Galaxy Quantum 7 is a device conceived exclusively for SK Telecom customers, combining core AI features and high performance while keeping the price accessible," said Koo Hyeon-cheol, head of SK Telecom's Sales and Marketing division. "We will continue building a broad device lineup to meet the diverse needs of our customers."
