Kia announced Tuesday that it is participating in EV Trend Korea 2026, running through Thursday at COEX.

EV Trend Korea is an expo organized by the Ministry of Climate, Environment and Energy to promote wider electric vehicle adoption and foster a new EV culture. The event launched in 2018 and this year marks its ninth edition.

Kia has taken part in EV Trend Korea since 2019, using the expo to display its electric vehicle lineup and latest technologies to highlight the quality of its products.

At this year's event, Kia will exhibit three electric vehicle models: the PV5 Passenger, the EV3 GT-Line and the EV5 GT-Line.

Among them, the PV5 Passenger on display is the seven-seat (2-2-3) model from the PV5's new lineup, which launched Aug. 3.

The model features a spacious interior with seating across all three rows. The second-row seats are positioned flush against the sides of the cabin, making it easier for third-row passengers to get in and out.

The seven-seat PV5 Passenger comes equipped with a range of convenience features for the second and third rows — including rear manual air conditioning, heated seats and USB-C ports — making it suitable for family travel as well as leisure and other mobility needs.

The EV3 GT-Line is a dedicated compact SUV electric vehicle combining product quality, dynamism and practicality in a design that punches above its segment.

The EV3 is the first vehicle in the Hyundai Motor Group lineup to offer i-Pedal 3.0, which enables the i-Pedal function across all regenerative braking levels, improving driving convenience and ride comfort. It also supports vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality both inside and outside the cabin, allowing power supply in a variety of situations.

The EV5 GT-Line is a family-oriented electric vehicle with a traditional SUV body style, distinguished by a more generous interior than comparable mid-size electric vehicles.

The EV5 comes standard with acceleration limit assist and pedal misapplication safety assist to reduce accident risk. It also offers an extended center console, a Pet Mode and a range of other safety and convenience features tailored to customer needs, giving family buyers a differentiated option.

In addition, Kia has set up a "Match Your EV Lineup" zone at the event, where visitors can explore the strengths of its dedicated electric vehicle models through a card game.

The automaker is also preparing a "PV5 3D Visualizer" zone, where visitors can simulate the versatility and interior and exterior design of PV5 derivative models, as well as a "PV5 Seat Challenge" game in which players must seat seven characters inside the PV5 Passenger within a time limit — designed to showcase the seven-seat model's distinctive use of space.

"We plan to present an electric vehicle lineup that covers the diverse lifestyles of our customers," a Kia official said. "We want visitors to not only view the vehicles but also experience Kia's mobility vision through interactive content."

Meanwhile, Kia has been pursuing a range of marketing activities to better understand consumer needs and incorporate them into its vehicle development process, including recently hosting its fifth PBV Idea Contest.
