A man in his 30s was injured after being thrown from a spinning amusement ride at a park on Wolmido in Incheon.

According to the Incheon Fire Department, the man, identified only as A, was riding a Disco Pang Pang — a spinning platform ride — at an amusement park in Bukseong-dong, Jeomulpo-gu, Incheon, when he was flung off at around 9:23 p.m. Sunday.

The ride's recoil threw A to the ground, and he complained of pain in his head and neck. Emergency responders transported him to a hospital for treatment.

Police plan to question facility staff and others to determine the exact circumstances of the accident.

"A's life is not in danger," a police official said. "We will investigate whether safety regulations were followed."
