Mapo-gu held a "9th Elected-Term Campaign Pledge Implementation Review" at the district office's main conference room on Monday, presided over by District Mayor Yoo Dong-gyun.
The session brought together Yoo, the deputy district mayor, the policy director, department heads and representatives from 22 campaign pledge units to present action plans for 69 projects and conduct an intensive review of each project's feasibility and direction.
The projects are campaign pledges aimed at realizing the vision of "Mapo on the Move Again! A Future We Share." The review placed residents' benefit first, focusing on whether each project would deliver tangible change that residents could feel.
Based on the discussions and findings from the session, Mapo-gu plans to refine the projects, finalize its campaign pledge framework in September and set detailed implementation plans by October.
Starting in November, the district will operate a campaign pledge evaluation committee to incorporate residents' feedback and assessments into the process. Drawing on those results, it plans to release the 9th elected-term campaign pledge action plan in early 2027.
"Administration is not about rigidly following a plan once it is set — it is a continuous process of reflection and research to find better ways," Yoo said. "Listening to voices from diverse fields beyond those directly involved in a project can spark new ideas, so we will gather a wide range of opinions to build substantive pledges and carry them through."
