Shinhan Investment is standing up an AI transformation task force of 109 employees drawn from its headquarters and field sales operations. The brokerage plans to share department-level AI agent use cases, identify new projects for the second half of the year and apply them directly to day-to-day work — accelerating what it calls a frontline-driven AI transformation, or AX.
The company announced Monday it will hold "AX Champions Day," an event bringing together 109 AX coordinators to drive company-wide AX acceleration.
AX coordinators are tasked with identifying, planning and building AI agent projects within their respective departments while spreading practical adoption across the organization. Shinhan Investment plans to develop them into key talent leading AX rollout in each unit and eventually build them into a company-wide AX execution network.
The event will feature sharing of standout AI agent cases and hands-on application experiences from the first half of the year, followed by planning of department-specific AI agent projects and adoption strategies for the second half. Training sessions on Microsoft's Copilot, AI governance and a new AI agent platform will also be held. The company said the focus is less on building AI agents and more on raising actual workplace utilization and productivity.
Shinhan Investment recently established what it describes as the first independent department in the domestic financial sector staffed entirely by AI agents, called the AI Agent Division. Under the model, the AI Agent Division validates and leads new AI collaboration approaches, while AX coordinators spread those practices to individual business units and field sales operations. The company said this structure is designed to accelerate its group-wide AI vision of becoming an "AI Native Company."
"AX goes beyond simply introducing AI technology — it is a process of transforming the actual way we work and the organizational culture," a Shinhan Investment official said. "We expect AX coordinators to serve as champions driving AI adoption at each site, spreading best practices and playing a central role in leading the transition to an AI Native Company."
Shinhan Investment is also stepping up field-focused talent development. In its open recruitment of new hires for the second half of this year, the company will select candidates through an integrated job track rather than the previous system of separate hiring by role and division, and will assign all successful applicants to branch private banker positions as their first posting.
