The 49th Daegu Baby & Kids Fair, the largest parenting expo in Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province, will run Thursday through Sunday at Exco's east hall in Daegu.

Co-organized by Exco and Messe eSang and sponsored by the Korea Social Security Information Service and the Daegu-North Gyeongsang chapter of the Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs, the fair brings together products and information covering pregnancy, childbirth, child-rearing and early childhood education under one roof.

Exhibitors will showcase essentials across every stage of pregnancy and parenting — strollers, car seats and baby carriers; nursing and weaning supplies; infant food; skincare; hygiene and household products; bedding and clothing; furniture; and educational content.

A dedicated section called the "First Meeting Store" will gather must-have items for expectant parents and offer them at special on-site prices, easing the financial burden on families preparing for a new arrival.

A range of community-focused parenting support and information programs, developed in partnership with local organizations, will also be on offer.

These include free psychological counseling from the Daegu Regional Infertility and Prenatal Counseling Center; a pregnancy experience and welfare guidance session from the Korean Social Welfare Society's Ingater program; infant CPR training by the Korean Red Cross; prenatal travel information covering eight cities and counties in western North Gyeongsang Province from the North Gyeongsang Tourism Association; and guidance on maternity protection policies and government support programs from the Daegu Regional Employment and Labor Office.

Expert lectures and hands-on programs are also scheduled.

On the opening day, Thursday, at 11 a.m., Great Books will host a lecture titled "The Golden Window for Brain Development in Children Ages 0–3," introducing parenting methods centered on picture books.

On Saturday, starting at 2 p.m., Hyosung Hospital and the Daegu Regional Infertility and Prenatal Counseling Center will jointly hold a couples seminar and a newborn mobile-making workshop.

The fair runs daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is free; visitors can register in advance through the official website or the Kobe app, or complete a simple on-site registration.
