Seoul Facilities Corp. announced Sunday it will operate a chuseok pre-holiday grave-visit support bus service using its "outing companion buses" to help people with disabilities and their families visit ancestral graves during the holiday season.

Reservations open Saturday through the Seoul Metropolitan Government's public service reservation portal. The service runs Sept. 10–23 and is open to people with disabilities and their families visiting burial facilities in the Greater Seoul area.

The buses serve family groups that include wheelchair users traveling to burial facilities in Seoul, Gyeonggi Province and Incheon. Riders must be registered users of the disability call-taxi service, and each booking must include at least one wheelchair user and a total of at least two passengers. Three wheelchair-accessible Solati minibuses will be deployed, each with two wheelchair spaces and six standard seats, for a maximum of eight passengers.

Seoul Facilities Corp. runs the outing companion bus service to expand mobility and support leisure activities for wheelchair users. Programs include pre-holiday grave visits for Lunar New Year, chuseok and hansik, as well as Seoul city tours, helping residents with disabilities get around more easily.

Han Guk-young, president of Seoul Facilities Corp., said the service was arranged so that people with disabilities and their families could visit graves with peace of mind ahead of the holiday. "We will continue to expand services that citizens can feel in their everyday lives," he added.
