Video footage has emerged showing two women jaywalking across a 10-lane road — one pushing a stroller and the other carrying a child in her arms.

According to JTBC's "Sageon Banjang," a crime and incident news program, a viewer and her husband were traveling from Daegu to Ulsan on Monday when they witnessed two women crossing a 10-lane road outside a designated crosswalk.

The footage shows the two women slowly crossing the wide road as vehicles passed. Signs reading "No jaywalking — absolutely prohibited" were posted nearby, but the women ignored them and stepped onto the roadway.

One woman was pushing a stroller while the other held a child in her arms, making for a harrowing scene that could easily have ended in a serious accident. A footbridge equipped with an elevator stood just behind them.

The viewer who submitted the footage described her reaction: "I was so shocked that for a moment I thought I was the one who couldn't see the crosswalk."

Under the Road Traffic Act's enforcement regulations, pedestrians who jaywalk in violation of traffic signals face a fine of 20,000 won ($14). Those who jaywalk directly beneath a footbridge face a steeper fine of 30,000 won.
