Comedian Han Yun-seo, who drew attention by sharing the candid realities of wedding preparation, has announced she will marry in October.
Han shared the news Wednesday on her social media, writing, "I am finally becoming an October bride."
"During the days when marriage felt most difficult and hard, I can't believe a day like this has come even for me — someone long seen as the poster child for a woman who would never marry," she said. "It feels like finding an oasis just when I had given up on everything."
She added that she would show fans "a happier, livelier life together as two, not one," and said her mother's nagging to get married and spending holidays alone were now things of the past.
Han also shared the news through her YouTube channel.
She posted a video filmed with her fiancé and her parents announcing the wedding, followed by footage of the four of them sharing a meal together.
Meanwhile, Han caught the bouquet at the wedding of fellow comedians Kim Jun-ho and Kim Ji-min last July.
She later revealed her relationship with Moon Jun-ung, a man two years her senior who works at a YouTube management company, through the TV Chosun program Joseon's Romantics. The couple has since shared their real-life wedding preparations on the show, including a formal meeting of their families.
Han debuted in 2009 through the MBC comedy program "Hatangsa" and currently stays in touch with the public through her YouTube channel and other platforms.
