The Seocho-gu Assembly, led by Speaker Yu Ji-ung, visited the 2026 Ulji CPX integrated operations center Wednesday to receive a briefing on the ongoing drill and express appreciation for the staff on duty.

Speaker Yu was joined by Deputy Speaker An Jong-suk, Operations Committee Chair Kim Hae-ba-reun, Administrative Welfare Committee Chair Park Mi-jeong, Fiscal Construction Committee Chair Shin Jeong-tae, and lawmakers Oh Ji-hwan, Ha Seo-yeong, Jeong Sun-yong, Jo Hui-ok, Park Seong-jun, Jeong Ji-gwang, Park Eun-gyeong, Kim Hyeong-u, Lee Seul-gi and Jeong Min-u.

The lawmakers received a second-day status briefing on the Ulji CPX from the head of the Safety City Division at the integrated operations center, set up on the second floor of the district office.

The assembly also delivered snacks for about 130 people, conveying gratitude to duty staff for their dedication despite the lingering late-summer heat.

"The domestic and international security environment has changed significantly from the past," Speaker Yu said, urging participants to "build close coordination with relevant agencies through this Ulji CPX and conduct a thorough review of real-world response capabilities."

The 2026 Ulji CPX is a nationwide joint civil-government-military emergency preparedness drill running for four days from Aug. 18 through Aug. 21.
