The North Gyeongsang Provincial Education Scholarship Foundation held a scholarship donation ceremony Wednesday at the superintendent's reception room in Andong, receiving 200 million won ($142,000) from NH NongHyup Bank's North Gyeongsang branch.

NH NongHyup Bank's North Gyeongsang branch donates to the foundation each year to support local talent development and help students pursue their studies without financial hardship.

This year's contribution of 200 million won continues that tradition, giving North Gyeongsang students a foundation to pursue their ambitions and grow into future leaders.

The funds will be channeled through the foundation to help students across the region develop their talents and pursue their dreams.

"It is deeply meaningful to be able to offer even a small measure of support to the students who will lead the future of our region," said Kim Jin-wook, head of NH NongHyup Bank's North Gyeongsang branch. "NongHyup will continue to grow alongside our local community and work to cultivate regional talent and spread a culture of giving."

Im Jong-sik, chairman of the foundation and superintendent of North Gyeongsang Provincial Office of Education, said the organization would run its scholarship programs with rigor so that the generous contribution translates into real growth for students. "We will provide steadfast support so that students can fully realize their potential," he said.
