Nongshim announced Wednesday it will send 1,200 emergency food pack sets to South Gyeongsang Province, where communities have been struggling with record-breaking extreme rainfall.

Each emergency food pack contains ramyun and Baeksansu mineral water. The packs will be distributed to flood victims staying at evacuation centers, as well as firefighters and volunteers taking part in recovery efforts.

"We decided to provide this support to offer even a small measure of help to those suffering from the extreme rainfall disaster," a Nongshim official said.

In February, Nongshim held a launch ceremony with the Korea Council of Social Welfare to kick off its emergency food pack project, under which the company committed to providing 300 million won ($213,000) worth of relief supplies this year. The emergency food pack initiative has been part of Nongshim's corporate social responsibility efforts since 2020. Last year, the company distributed a total of 18,000 emergency food packs.
