Hyundai Motor on Wednesday revealed the interior and exterior design of the all-new Tucson, a full redesign of its compact SUV.

The all-new Tucson is the fifth-generation model and the first complete overhaul since the fourth-generation version launched in September 2020 — a gap of about six years. Hyundai Motor said the new model features a bolder, more rugged SUV design and best-in-class interior space.

The design is rooted in Hyundai Motor's "Art of Steel" design philosophy, reinterpreting the tension and strength of steel in a contemporary way. Forward-looking lighting design reinforces the image of a confident, next-generation SUV.

At the front, vertically oriented H-Edge lighting daytime running lights — inspired by architectural illumination — are paired with a horizontal slim center lamp, creating a wide, stable and commanding presence.

Along the sides, rich, three-dimensional volume on the fenders and rear doors produces sharp contrasts of light and shadow depending on the angle of light. Restrained door surfaces and a crisp character line running horizontally across the body work together to emphasize the inherent tension of steel and a dynamic SUV stance.

At the rear, prism-shaped lamps with three-dimensionally protruding lens structures reveal intricate internal patterns when lit, adding visual depth. A horizontal slim center tail lamp and vertical rear combination lamps echo the front lighting for a cohesive look across the vehicle.

The all-new Tucson measures 4,700mm in length, 1,905mm in width, 1,685mm in height and 2,785mm in wheelbase. Compared with the outgoing model, the length grows by 60mm, the wheelbase by 30mm and the width by 40mm, delivering best-in-class cabin space.

Second-row headroom increases by 29mm to 1,031mm, and the rear door opening angle widens from 73 degrees to 83 degrees, making it easier to get in and out.

Inside, a floating dashboard structure — where the upper and lower sections of the crash pad appear visually separated by a horizontal line connecting the left and right air vents — enhances the sense of openness. A large center display sits at the middle of the crash pad for intuitive access to information and easy operation.

A slim display and a double-D cut steering wheel minimize driver distraction, while a palm-rest hidden tray and a luggage add-gear compartment improve storage versatility.

Additional convenience features include a card holder on the side of the driver-side air vent for frequently used cards, and a dual wireless charging system that can charge two smartphones simultaneously.

For customers who prefer an outdoor lifestyle, Hyundai Motor will offer the all-new Tucson XRT trim. The front features a wide rectangular grille and a broad, bold skid plate designed to project a heavy, imposing presence.

On the sides, black wheel arch garnishes wrap firmly around the lower body to evoke the look of protective gear. The garnishes carry a pattern inspired by forged carbon, reinforcing the visual weight and rugged character unique to the XRT trim.

A dedicated rear bumper and skid plate, XRT emblems, black DLO trim and exclusive wheels complete the trim's tough, dynamic outdoor aesthetic.

Inside, XRT-exclusive patterned seats and dark metal decor create a distinctive atmosphere, while first- and second-row floor protection mats and a touch-operated tailgate LED lamp add practicality for outdoor use.

"The all-new Tucson embodies the commanding presence of a rugged SUV, grounded in Hyundai Motor's 'Art of Steel' design philosophy," a Hyundai Motor official said. "Through a more spacious cabin and thoughtful details customers can feel in everyday life, it will deliver a new level of SUV experience."

Meanwhile, Hyundai Motor has been broadening its lineup with a series of new model launches, including a facelift of its flagship Grandeur sedan and a full redesign of the Avante compact sedan, with the all-new Tucson now joining that wave.
