Lotte Department Store will open a store for British high-end streetwear brand Palace at Jamsil Lotte World Mall on Saturday, becoming the first Korean retailer to carry the brand. The location will be the third Palace store in South Korea, after Apgujeong and Hongdae, and the 10th standalone store worldwide.
Founded in London in 2009, Palace built its identity around skateboard subculture and is known for its triangular "Tri-Ferg" logo. Its signature products include hoodies, T-shirts and outerwear featuring the logo and bold graphic prints.
Lotte Department Store has prepared an exclusive collection available only at the World Mall location — 18 pieces spanning hoodies, jackets and hats, designed with the Olympic rings as a motif inspired by Seoul Olympic Park. The store will also debut two collaborative products featuring Lotte World's mascot Lotty and one featuring Lorry.
"Through this World Mall store, we want to give customers a closer look at Palace's unique products and culture," said Min Woo-gi, head of Lotte Department Store's New Generation team. "We will continue to introduce differentiated brands and content that our customers are excited about."
