Daegu University's University Jobs Plus Center held the final and championship rounds of its 2026 Career Development Roadmap Competition camp at Hanwha Resort in Gyeongju on Aug. 13 and 14, aimed at helping students map out career paths and strengthen their job-readiness skills.

The camp was open to 30 students who passed a document screening from among participants in "Build-Up," a customized employment support program for enrolled students.

Participants were divided into small groups for intensive team consultations in which professional consultants reviewed each student's career direction and roadmap in depth. Ten standout participants were then selected as finalists through expert evaluation.

In the championship round, the 10 finalists each delivered a presentation of roughly 15 minutes. They outlined their career exploration process and concrete job-seeking plans, focusing on understanding roles suited to their majors, managing their competencies and mapping out new career goals.

Kim Jung-ho, head of Daegu University's employment support team, said the camp — attended mainly by lower-year students — gave participants a chance to put concrete shape to their career plans. "Expert feedback and the hands-on presentation experience served as a positive motivator, encouraging students to take action in preparing for employment," he said.
