Xexymix, a global athleisure brand, said Friday its consolidated first-half sales reached 127.4 billion won ($90 million), up 1.6 percent from the same period a year earlier. Operating profit fell 22.7 percent to 6.4 billion won over the same period, while gross profit came in at 79 billion won.

Its Japanese and Taiwanese subsidiaries continued to grow. The Japan unit posted 11.1 billion won in sales, up 40.2 percent year on year, while the Taiwan unit grew 18.8 percent to 5.2 billion won.

In Japan, Xexymix stepped up its offline presence in key commercial districts this year. Following a store opening in Tokyo's Omotesando in the first quarter, it opened a new flagship store in Osaka's Shinsaibashi in May. The company also ran a range of marketing and sales-promotion activities across both online and offline channels.

In Taiwan, the company has been expanding its offline retail network. On top of its three existing stores and a showroom in Taipei, it operated pop-up stores in major shopping districts — including Taipei's Zhongxiao Sogo and the SKM Park outlet in Kaohsiung — during the second quarter to broaden its local sales base.

For the second half, Xexymix plans to accelerate its push into Southeast Asia. Drawing on experience built in Japan and Taiwan, the company aims to develop Southeast Asia — a region it sees as having high growth potential — into a new pillar of its global expansion.

In Indonesia, first-half sales more than doubled from a year earlier, signaling strong momentum. Xexymix plans to deepen its reach through physical stores while linking them with major online platforms — Shopee, Tokopedia and Lazada — as well as its own e-commerce site to drive further sales growth.

The company is also making a full-scale entry into Thailand. In June, Xexymix signed a sales agreement with CP Axtra, a major retail affiliate of Thailand's CP Group. The deal secures CP Axtra-operated channels — including Makro warehouse stores, large supermarkets and Lotus's convenience stores — as sales outlets, with sales expected to begin as early as the end of this month. Xexymix also plans to launch its own online store in Thailand this month.

At home, the company is focusing on strengthening its running category. It continues to expand its RX running line with products that emphasize both performance and design, while broadening customer engagement through race sponsorships and community programs.

"In the first half, continued growth from our key overseas subsidiaries in Japan and Taiwan contributed to consolidated sales growth," a company official said. "In the second half, we aim to deliver tangible results in Southeast Asia — particularly in Indonesia and Thailand, which we are prioritizing this year — while reinforcing our competitiveness in growth categories such as running to build a foundation for sustained growth."
