Jongno-gu held a roundtable Thursday with participants in its 2026 summer college student administrative internship program at the district office's 10th-floor education room, gathering feedback from the interns on their experience.
The event brought together all 19 interns, who had worked from July 13 through Friday in district office departments and neighborhood community centers, assisting with clerical and administrative tasks. The gathering was designed to let participants share their impressions and freely propose policy ideas. Organizers said the session was significant as an opportunity for students — who are themselves users of public services — to share their perspectives on the local community and government services.
"We will carefully consider the opinions that the college students shared from what they saw, heard and experienced firsthand, and connect them to administrative improvements that residents can feel," district mayor Yu Chan-jong said.
