Lawyer and broadcaster Seo Dong-ju is attempting in vitro fertilization again, four months after suffering a missed miscarriage.
Seo shared an update on her social media Thursday, saying four months had already passed since her loss. "During that time, I took herbal medicine, received nutritional injections and did my best to take care of my body," she wrote, adding that a follicle had appeared a few days earlier and she had begun hormone injections again.
She said she felt some fear that it might again turn out to be an empty follicle, but was choosing to spend Friday optimistically rather than worrying about something that had not yet happened. "Rather than dwelling on outcomes I cannot control during this fertility journey, I will choose how to spend the waiting time," she said.
A video shared alongside the post showed Seo visiting a fertility clinic with her husband, carrying a bag of ovarian stimulation injections and appearing in good spirits.
Seo is the daughter of the late comedian and pastor Seo Se-won and former model and broadcaster Seo Jeong-hee. She remarried last year, wedding a non-celebrity husband four years her junior. Earlier this year she announced a pregnancy through IVF, but later suffered a miscarriage.
