Actor Lee Joo-seung attended a luncheon with President Lee Jae Myung at Cheong Wa Dae on Thursday.

Lee shared photos of the visit on his Instagram story, writing, "At Cheong Wa Dae thanks to my grandfather, a national merit holder."

One photo showed Lee in a suit taking a mirror selfie inside Cheong Wa Dae.

Another showed an invitation card reading "An Invitation from the President" alongside a watch bearing the president's name.

President Lee Jae Myung hosted the luncheon at Cheong Wa Dae for national merit holders and their families.

Lee lost his grandfather in February. His grandfather, Lee Jong-gyu, was born in 1930 and served as an officer in the Korean War, earning the status of national merit holder. After leaving the military, he worked as an elementary school teacher.

Earlier, on a February 2024 episode of the TV variety show "I Live Alone," Lee visited his grandparents and spoke warmly about his grandfather. During that broadcast, the late Lee Jong-gyu recalled paying school fees and association dues out of his own pocket for students who could not afford them — a story that moved many viewers.
