LG Uplus will host the 2026 Nanum Market in partnership with social economy enterprises, aiming to expand sales channels for businesses ranging from disability vocational rehabilitation centers to traditional liquor producers.

The company announced Thursday that the 2026 LG Uplus Nanum Market will open Wednesday. This year's event is designed to go beyond a simple in-house bazaar, serving as a shared-growth platform that helps social economy participants reach new markets.

The market will run Wednesday through Friday at the company's Magok office, then Monday and Tuesday the following week at its Yongsan office. LG Uplus employees and local residents alike will be able to meet producers, sample products and make purchases on-site.

According to LG Uplus, disability vocational rehabilitation centers and social economy enterprises often struggle to secure direct consumer access despite producing high-quality goods.

Through the market, LG Uplus said it aims to help participating businesses connect with new customers and demonstrate their product strengths, thereby energizing the social economy ecosystem. The event also links employee spending to social value creation, supporting the financial independence of people with disabilities and boosting local economies.

Facilities affiliated with the Korea Association of Rehabilitation Facilities for the Disabled will participate, offering products such as nuts, teas, soaps and detergents, baked goods and sesame oil. Companies linked to the Gyeonggi Province Agricultural Research and Extension Services will present regional specialties including gelato, bellflower root products, apple products and traditional Korean confections. Traditional liquor producers from Gyeonggi Province and Incheon will also sell their products, and refurbished LG Electronics home appliances will be available exclusively to employees.

LG Uplus expects the event to generate social value in three areas: supporting the independence of people with disabilities, revitalizing local economies and promoting resource recycling. The company particularly expects sales of refurbished LG Electronics products to help spread a culture of resource circulation.

Proceeds from the Nanum Market will go toward the U+ Hope Library project. The U+ Hope Library is LG Uplus's flagship corporate social responsibility initiative, operated since 2017 to improve information access and educational conditions for visually impaired students. Each year it provides educational equipment such as braille printers and reading magnifiers.

With donations from KMI Korean Medical Institute and product support from LG Electronics also contributing to this year's event, LG Uplus plans to expand the scope of support for visually impaired students. Healthcare company Omnicare will offer health-related products to attendees and donate a portion of its sales proceeds.

"This Nanum Market is meaningful as a shared-growth venue that connects social economy enterprises with consumers," said Park Gyeong-jung, head of external affairs at LG Uplus. "We will continue to help products made by people with disabilities and quality local goods reach more consumers, and support the sustainable growth of the social economy ecosystem."
