Hanwha Investment disclosed Wednesday that its consolidated preliminary operating profit for the second quarter of this year reached 55.6 billion won ($39.3 million), up 47.4% from the same period a year earlier.
Second-quarter sales surged 263.6% year-on-year to 3.23 trillion won. Net profit for the period came in at 27.03 billion won, a 7.8% decline from a year ago, though it grew 41.3% from the previous quarter.
For the first half of this year, the company recorded cumulative sales of 4.89 trillion won, operating profit of 85.2 billion won and net profit for the period of 46.2 billion won.
A company official said Hanwha Investment would "connect traditional finance and digital finance to create differentiated value, and build an ecosystem as a digital-asset-specialized securities firm, underpinned by our vision of becoming the world's No. 1 real-world asset hub."
