Korea Electric Power Corporation disclosed Wednesday that its second-quarter consolidated operating profit fell 47.2 percent from a year earlier to 1.13 trillion won ($798 million).

Revenue for the same period edged down 0.1 percent to 21.92 trillion won.

Net profit for the period came to 277.54 billion won, a preliminary figure reflecting a 76.4 percent decline from a year earlier.
