The Seoul Metropolitan Sports Council (President Kang Tae-sun) said it is conducting a job training program for 351 community sports instructors affiliated with 25 district sports councils at Seoul National University of Education in Seocho-gu, running Monday through Thursday.
The training was designed to strengthen participants' practical skills and professional expertise, with a focus on field-based instruction. The four-day program consists of 12 hours of lectures covering both theory and practice, including sessions on creating promotional content using AI, planning exercise programs with AI, and training methods to improve running performance.
Lee Jeong-su, a former Seoul city short-track speed skater and Vancouver Olympics gold medalist, is set to appear as a special guest instructor, sharing his experience working as a community ice sports instructor after his competitive career.
Kang, who visited the training site to encourage the instructors, said the council would "continue to provide support so that community sports instructors can serve citizens with greater pride, professionalism and higher-quality sports services."
